RIP Chris. Thank you for every note you graced us with.
Your voice made the world a better place.
What else needs be said?
There's nothing quite like coming back from a break to create a new album. You're collectively creating something from nothing which means you really have to lean on each other.
The difference, though, is that when you've taken a break you wonder if you've "still got it". Man, did we put that question to rest last night as we finally all circled up in the same place for the first time since last Fall. We can easily say we did not miss a beat and are in the top form of our career.
We are so happy to welcome saxophonist Thomas Donavann Nickles and bassist Blake Jarman to the band! They have fit into this band like no one outside of our core-founding-members ever have before. Dain, Matt, Jocelyn, Bradley, and I (Beau Tyler) couldn't be happier to go on this next journey with them.
We are so excited to make this next We The Ghost album for you. It will definitely be our most vibey, groovy, record.
Somehow we just ran across this. If we've seen this before then we have totally forgotten lol. Here is an interview that we did about 18 months ago with What's Happening in Tulsa, OK.
WHAT'S UP GHOSTS!
Well, after almost a year of playing it low-key, it looks like we are finally ready to settle back down and make a new record.
Sometimes while everything seems perfect, behind the scenes things can be falling apart. While our relationships with one another have never been a problem, what a lot of people didn't know was that on the professional end, behind-the-scenes the last two years have felt like constant warfare. I'd be lying if I said that splitting up hadn't crossed our minds. Hell, until recently it seemed all but certain. However, not a day has gone by since we took time off that we weren't sending each other group texts and missing each other. So in the end we parted ways with just about everyone who was on our behind-the-scenes team and have since made a new family. Sometimes you just need a moment apart to appreciate how much you need to be together. All the other BS be damned. After 5 years of going hard, album after album, show after show, we just needed a break.
We'll update you soon with videos from the writing room and the studio. Stay tuned!
Peace, Love, & Music,
We The Ghost
